2nd Fantasy Football Team = 2nd Fantasy Disaster

So, if you couldn’t tell by my posts last weekend, I love Fantasy Football. Enough that I currently play in three different leagues each year. I know, I may have a problem.

The league I drafted with last weekend is comprised of friends that I’ve made from college. We’re highly competitive, wager the most money, and do the most trash talking.

The second league, and the one I drafted in this past weekend, is comprised of some friends from home and some guys that they went to school with at NIU. I think I MAY have been in this league the longest, but it’s hard to tell with how it’s changed and molded over the years.

The last one I’m in is one my younger brother and his friends. Although it has yet to draft, it’s the one I”m the most confident going into. For real, I don’t think any of them know what they’re doing.

So why am I telling you all this? Well I’m thinking of just writing a few weekend posts about various topics and although I know this one is coming out on a Monday, it doesn’t change the fact that I enjoy writing it.

Oh, and did I mention Yahoo Fantasy Sports DESPISES me? For real, anyone that is a fantasy football fan, just look at my second team:

Now yes, I know my receivers aren’t the best that the NFL has to offer, but they’re nowhere near terrible enough to make my team 1-13. Seriously, this is a team that is projected to go 1-13, I just can’t grasp that.

I’m starting to believe that Yahoo either has a bias against anything I do in their fantasy sports, or I’ve been cursed. A buddy of mine insists that’s what happened. He had taken a year off after all his players became injured and so that bad luck went to me.

I don’t buy it. No, I believe what happened is that Yahoo has launched a full blown conspiracy against me. They want me to continue to fail and so far I have no idea why. Is it because I stopped using tumblr? Is it because I only use their services for fantasy football?

I honestly don’t know, but the amount of shade Yahoo throws at me needs to stop. I hope these players are ready, because I’m going to tell them we need to end this crusade Yahoo has against my teams. Maybe then they’ll stop predicting my teams to get last.

That or they need to call up Matthew Berry and tell him his player rankings suck.
